We founded Snoozer 35 years ago in the USA and have enjoyed a long history of making premium dog beds and serving our (human and canine) customers. In 2017, we expanded into the UK through a distributor that licensed our brand to launch and operate this site. While this worked well initially, we realized earlier this year that it was time for us to take direct ownership of the site and establish a proper UK business presence to best serve our customers.
My name is Amelie. I am almost 10! I have my first ever puppy called Kato. Kato is a Hungarian wire-haired Vizsla who loves to play, snooze and have a bundle of tickles (obviously)! I haven’t had him very long but I already feel like he’s been here for ever. I wanted a puppy ever since I got used to family dogs and spent time with them. In my family, we have loads of cute dogs but Kato brought the cuteness up a notch! Read on and find out how it felt when he arrived…
If we could, we’d all fill our homes with as many puppies as possible. Wouldn’t we? There’s almost nothing better in the world than their fuzzy fur, soft noses and lovely little paws. But puppies aren’t all fun and games! We spoke to lots of lovely Snoozer customers with new dogs about all the things they’ve learned about bringing their brand new bundles of fluff home.
‘Sausage Dog Hotel’. Even the name sounds delightful, doesn’t it? And it’s precisely as wonderful as it sounds! Established in 2012 in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside, the Sausage Dog Hotel is a boarding house with a difference.
As the name suggests, this particular boarding house is exclusively dachshund friendly, welcoming up to 14 sausage dogs at one time. Sounds like the dream, doesn’t it? We spoke to the lovely owner, Phil, about his business and, surprise surprise, he might just be the happiest boarding house owner in the world!
We like to think of ourselves as dog experts here at Snoozer, but sometimes even we stumble across breeds we’ve never heard of! This month we’re showing lots of appreciation for small dogs and all the love that they give, so we thought we’d take a look at some of the lesser-known little breeds out there. How many will you recognise…?
Any small dog owner knows that what little dogs lack in size, they more than make up for in personality. These little bundles of joy can fill our lives with love, so it’s really important that we give them lots of love in return. One of the best ways to do this is by ensuring they have somewhere safe and secure to sleep.
It’s not easy, though. Every dog is different, and there are endless dog bed choices out there, but what’s perfect for a medium or large sized dog won’t be right at all for a small dog. Don’t just assume your dog will love any old bed that comes their way!
Training your dog requires a lot of time, skill and patience. There are several methods to consider, depending on your goal. For instance, you may simply want to train your new puppy to pee outside, or want to teach an adult dog new tricks or skills. Whatever your goal, here are some of the best tips to consider whilst training your dog throughout its life!
You’ve taken the plunge and decided you’re ready to buy a puppy! What an exciting time! But puppies don’t grow on trees (wouldn’t that be a sight!). You’ll need to do a little bit of research about what breed is right for you, and you'll need to do some casual detective work to assess the puppy and the breeder. After all, this is a big investment and you want to make sure that you’re buying a healthy and happy dog from a reputable breeder...
Quick question: what’s better than a dog? Dogs that look like bears, duh! The internet has gone wild over the past year for super fluffy enormous dog breeds, which have all the cuteness of baby bears - with none of the danger. And, obviously, all of the wonderful benefits of a dog!
